Ohel Moed has had an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), located in the kitchen, for 12 years. This device can be used for emergency resuscitation, in the event that an individual suffers a life-threatening heart rhythm problem. Funds are needed, so that the expensive AED battery and electrodes can be replaced. Please contribute, so that Ohel Moed will continue to have a functioning AED in place. Please make your check payable to Ohel Moed, and write “AED Fund” in the memo section of the check.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to participate in a Bikkur Cholim
visit to the Henry Ford Hospital this Shabbat. Upon consultation with the
hospital’s Volunteer Services Department, all participants would need to be
registered in advance, requiring criminal background screening and TB
testing, in addition to HIPAA-related training and orientation. Though
rigorous, this protocol can be completed if there are sufficient numbers of
volunteers, and most significantly, if there is someone who is willing to
lead and coordinate this effort. If you are willing to lead this project,
please see Ethan Gilan.
The Bnei Akiva movie night for grades 1-5 has been rescheduled for November 14th. More details to follow.
