Thank You
Thank you to Howard Storchan for the lighting repairs in our shul.
AED Fund Update
Following is some additional information about the AED Fund at Ohel Moed. The cost of a new battery (estimated life 3-4 years) is $291, and the cost of new electrodes is $84. If funds in excess of these amounts are raised, then they will be applied to the next round of AED replacement expenditures, or to other AED expenditures, such as software updates, which may arise.
Bnei Akiva
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to participate in a Bikkur Cholim
visit to the Henry Ford Hospital this Shabbat. Upon consultation with the
hospital’s Volunteer Services Department, all participants would need to be
registered in advance, requiring criminal background screening and TB
testing, in addition to HIPAA-related training and orientation. Though
rigorous, this protocol can be completed if there are sufficient numbers of
volunteers, and most significantly, if there is someone who is willing to
lead and coordinate this effort. If you are willing to lead this project,
please see Ethan Gilan.
The time of Cafe Ulpan has been changed to 7:00pm
